How to forestall the modern human traffic
18th to 26th July 2009 - Iasi, Romania

EuroDEMOS developed the European project “How to forestall the modern human traffic”. The project has been funded with support from the European Commission through Youth in Action Program. The project includes a training which will take place from 18thto 26th July 2009 in Iasi, Romania. Partners of the training are 22 participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Egypt, Latvia, Republic of Moldavia, Romania and Turkey.

The main theme of the training are: human rights, how to recognize a legally founded Mannequins or events organizing agency -legal aspects, alarm signs of an agency potentially involved in or interested in traffic with Mannequins, quality standards of a Mannequins agency, psychological and social consequences of the modern human traffic.

The objectives of the course are:

• to promote awareness and understanding of human rights,
• to improve the participants' knowledge about the existence of the phenomenon of modern human traffic and
• to explore the situation in the participants' countries.

This training will develop participants' skills about forestalling the modern human traffic through: presentation, discusssions, comparative analysis, role play, workshops, etc.

The project contributes to implementation at European level of the center AMT strategy

and received support from the European Network to promote Youth in the Decision-Making Process-Involved Youth Coalition

we mention some important issues written by the participants:

• Studying modern human trafficking fenomen is an important theme and this training represents a great opportunity that they want to realize in their own country
• The first step in anticipation of the modern trafficking in human beings is to adopt an adequate legistation at European-level applied in the territory by the authorities with the support of NGOs
• the way how was structured the training contributed to the assimilation and understanding of information by participants
• The trainers are experts in their fields
• The information in the training are very helpful and most of the participants said they would review the training-kit and the received materials to better understand and to better keep in their minds
• The training kit was well structured, the design is attractive and the information are qualitative
• About the experience acquired in this training, participants have written that they wish to share with friends,their colleagues in the NGO and other NGOs,and to population trough information and educational projects (they said that this training gave them confidence and more useful information)
• Among the strengths of the training written by the participants we mention: trainers, organization, trainingkit, the way how they spend their leisure time, workshops, the tvshow simulation etc
