International Human Rights Day
9 to 11 December 2009 Hague

Between 9 to 11 December 2009, president of EuroDEMOS – Morel Bolea and president of Kasta Morrely Diana Alexandroae represented Romania at events of marking the International Human Rights Day of in Hague.

Thus Romania joined 30 countries of the world to be represented by over 50 civil society organizations in the activities marking International Human Rights Day in 2009:

• International Conference,
• Human Rights march and
• elaboration of Human Rights Manifesto presented in the Dutch Parliament.

Along with leaders of international organizations, politicians, researchers and journalists from around the world, President EuroDEMOS, Morel Bolea, and President Kasta Morrely, Diana Alexandroae were invited to the Hague as world experts to help with their level of expertise in events celebrating International Human Rights Day. The two experts will address the plenary themes thing as human trafficking, illegal migration, discrimination, social and economic rights, human rights from a gender perspective, supporting human rights defenders worldwide.

On December 10, 2009, Morel Bolea and Diana Alexandroae participated in official presentation and awarding meeting of the Human Rights Manifesto from Hague to the Dutch Parliament.

The organizers of these events of global interest:GHRD (Global Human Rights Defence Interntational Organization) and the International Network for Combating Transnational Organized Crime FLARE

(Freedom Legality and Rights in Europe) have chosen to represent Romania EuroDEMOS and Kasta Morrely because the two NGOs are appreciated standard organizations worldwide in defense and monitoring human rights.
